A Healthy Meal Narrows Our Bulging Hips.....!!!( Some Useful Tips)

       My craze to stay healthy and somewhere now just went down only to black and white. Though I very cleverly make it a point to install all these cooking tips to enhance my family’s diet and as such to keep them healthy. Being a working mother my responsibility increases doublefoldedly as I have to make something healthy but also indulge less time in it. After all, who doesn’t want to stay healthy?  
We all want to stay healthy and so we always look out for any such useful and healthy tips which will help us to reduce our weight and maintain a perfect balance in our regular diet. I have always been fascinated by the tips shared to me for a balanced diet. In the long run it only remained nothing more than an informative piece. I always plan out for a healthy diet which would kick off my extra calories by eating healthy.


Certain food items we should never be indulging:

1.     
     Sweets: We should make it a point and consider that sweet is sin.
2.     Aerated drinks:  We should stop drinking all types of colas, Pepsis and also avoid any types of fruit juice.
3.     Saturated fats (found in fatty meats, butter, ghee, palm oil, coconut oil, trans fats and hydrogenated oils) and fried foods like puris, prantha, pakora etc
4.     Milk Products:  Stop consuming processed cheese, butter.
5.     Eat less of salt and sodium.

These were some of the tips we should consider as a sin if we want to be fit and healthy. But together with all this we have to also maintain some healthy cooking tips like we should always remember …

Ø Cooking medium to be restricted to 10-15 g/day. Use oil low in saturated fat and high in mono-unsaturated fat. 
Ø Supplement wheat with whole channa.
Ø Mix rice with whole grams or dals in a ratio of 1:1 to incorporate fibre.


Non-vegetarians can flaunt this sample menu 


Ø Low fat protein sources like fish is a good option.
Ø Fish is rich in omega 3 fatty acids which are good for the heart. It is recommended that at least 100gms of fish is consumed twice a week.
Ø White meat like chicken is a source of healthy protein. It is lower than red meat in calories, but one should remove the skin and eat. Ideal preparation ways are grilling, roasting or baking.
Ø Stick to lean protein and you can maintain a healthy weight and good health.


These healthy eating tips have already been inflicted by me in my day to day preparations and hence thought of sharing some with you.
